British Lotto operator experiences massive online growth
Date: 2nd September 2010 Time: 23:23:05 GMT + 1
According to recent data from Nielsen’s UK Online Measurement (UKOM), the company that attracted the most new UK users online between July of last year and July 2010 isn't Facebook.
No. It's Camelot, the operator of the UK's highly popular national lottery games. From July 2009 to July 2010, visitors to Camelot websites increased by 4.4 million to total 9.4 million.
Much of the increase was owing to an ad campaign promoting EuroMillions, which ran on eBay, Amazon, and Gumtree.
