Date: 25th August 2010 Time: 19:36:10 GMT + 1
Graham Pyatt of Mexborough, Doncaster plays the British Lotto online every week and always gets a lucky dip ticket. However, he waited almost a week after the draw on 14th August before checking his numbers.
When he finally got round to it, he discovered he was a millionaire. Mr. Pyatt had won £1,460,850 and had been rich for 5 whole days without knowing it. He was so shocked at his own good fortune that he had to get his son, Steven, to confirm the win before he could believe it.
Mr. Pyatt, age 60, spent 28 years working in power stations. He is now housebound due to respiratory and mobility problems, but is already making definite plans for his newfound wealth.
He stated, "I want to use the money to make sure that Steven and his family are looked after which will make me very happy."
Mr. Pyatt's lucky numbers were 5, 13, 17, 31, 42, 46 plus bonus ball 4. The draw also produced 2 other jackpot-winning tickets, each worth £1,460,850.
