| Q. |
What is European Lottery Guild? |
| A. |
ELG is an independent lottery subscription service in operation since 1990.
We utilise mailing facilities in Europe and abroad and operate a state-of-the-art international customer
service centre which enables us to efficiently serve clients in nearly every country around the world. |
| |
| Q. |
Do you run your own lotteries? |
| A. |
No, we do not operate any lotteries ourselves. We provide entry into the official national lotteries
described on this site. All the games we offer are
regulated and licensed by the governments of their respective countries. |
| |
| Q. |
Is everything I read in your promotional
material true? |
| A. |
Yes. We take the utmost care in preparing our
press, direct mail and Internet advertising and adhere to accepted codes of practice to ensure all information
is legal, honest and accurate. |
| |
| Q. |
How many people have won using your service? |
| A. |
To date, European Lottery Guild has had more than 767,000 winners, from smaller prizes of 10 or 20 Euros
to larger prizes worth hundreds of thousands of Euros to jackpots worth many millions. |
| |
| Q. |
Who can play? |
| A. |
Anyone who is 18 years of age or older can
place an order through European Lottery Guild. We do stipulate that we cannot accept orders for any lottery
that is available in a player’s own country of residence. For example, a person living in France cannot play a
French lottery through ELG. Unfortunately, our service is not available to residents of the Netherlands, Canada,
the United States and its territories, Liechtenstein or Switzerland. |
| |
| Q. |
Where do you get your testimonials? |
| A. |
We have an ever-increasing file of letters from
players who’ve won through our service. All the testimonials used in our advertising are genuine and we only
publish comments and photographs with the express written permission of the winners. |
| |
| Q. |
How is my entry processed? |
| A. |
Our complex network of mainframe computers
maintains a continuously updated record of all customer entries. These computers can process vast amounts of
data within seconds. As soon as your order is received at our processing headquarters, the details are entered
into our system and your entries are lodged with the appropriate lottery. Our fully-equipped lettershop will
then send you a detailed confirmation showing your numbers and dates of play for your chosen game. Your numbers
are automatically computer-scanned and your winnings verified each week. At the end of your play period,
you’ll receive a Final Statement showing your total prize money won. (Note: when you win 1,000 Euros or more
in any draw, we telephone to advise you immediately.) Enclosed with your Final Statement will be a complete
list of winning numbers so you can see all the draw results for yourself. |
| |
| Q. |
How do I receive my winnings? |
| A. |
Payment will be included with your Final Statement in the form of a cheque, bank draft, money order or
applicable financial instrument for your country. Of course, we are always happy to make any special
arrangements you may require for receiving your prize money. (Total wins of less than €5 will be
deposited directly to your ELG account and are available upon request at any time.) For the convenience of
our clients, we will also convert winnings to most major national currencies at the prevailing rate. |
| |
| Q. |
Is anything deducted from my winnings? |
| A. |
No. We do not take commissions or charge any
additional fees. You always receive the full amount of all the prize money you win. When you play through
European Lottery Guild, the initial entry fee is the only amount you ever pay. This fee covers all the
costs of administering your order. |
| |
| Q. |
How do I check the winning numbers? |
| A. |
We will send you a complete list of winning
numbers covering your entry period. You can also check the draw results at any time on this website. |
| |
| Q. |
I’ve heard that consumers should be wary of lottery scams.
Should I be concerned? |
| A. |
We are aware of illegitimate parties who
mislead customers with fraudulent offers and impossible claims. You should always be skeptical of any
message you receive that announces you have already won a prize (when you haven’t even done business with that
company) and asks you to send a “claim fee” in order to receive your winnings. To help protect and
inform our clients, we’ve included a
“Consumer
Protection” page on this website. |
| |
| Q. |
If I have a query, is there anyone I can speak to? |
| A. |
Yes, our trained Customer Service specialists will be happy to help. Simply phone the appropriate number for
your country as shown on the “Contact Us” page of this site.
Our helpline is your direct link to the experts at European Lottery Guild and we pride ourselves on providing
friendly, efficient service. You can also contact us by email at
