Bonus Draw

With a scrumptious nine prize categories each offering impressive average payouts, the German Lotto is one of the most lucrative of its kind in Europe. Enjoy your piece of the pie – a slice of Zwetschkenkuchen perhaps! – with two draws a week offering high value and delicious overall odds of 1/31. You could be the next one to taste the sweet life from the German Lotto!

Why Play?

The German Lotto vaunts a notable nine prize categories, further distinguishing it from its nationalized equivalents and making it one of Europe’s most lucrative lotteries. The Superzahl (“super number”), drawn from a pool of 1-9, augments each prize category and the Lotto’s otherwise humble 6/49 format, resulting in high payouts in its top prize levels – not just for the jackpot – and an average weekly prize pool of almost €40 million!

The German Lotto’s increased overall odds since 2013 rule changes and absence of a maximum jackpot amount beyond rollover limits mean it’s easy for anyone to both win and win big. Super!

Format

Play six numbers from a pool of 49 and select a bonus number from a narrow field of 1-9 for even more chances to win. Twice-weekly draws occur on Wednesdays (18:25 CET) and Saturdays (19:25 CET). The German Lotto assigns your Super Number as 7.

Lotto 6 aus 49’s beginnings trace back to 1955, decades before any other major European national lottery game, when four German states partnered to co-administer the popular draw. Other states gradually joined in and together they formed the Deutscher Lotto- und Totoblock (DLTB) in 1974, a Lotteriegesellschaften, one of the oldest and most distinctive contemporary overseers of lotteries in the region.

DLTB’s unique structure as a cooperative also allows it to expedite its impressive philanthropic efforts without red tape, distributing over €23.5 billion to date to regional beneficiaries as efficiently as possible.
